Julie is an ultra-distance runner who competes in endurance events that span from marathon distance (26.2 miles) to 100 and more miles. She has been a successful ultra distance athlete for 7 years.

Julie wasn't always an athlete. It wasn't until 11 years ago when she found a desire within to become a healthy person. She quit smoking and drinking, began to walk and then to run. She changed her eating habits to lose 70 pounds, a loss which she has maintained. She has changed her lifestyle one step at a time.
Julie finds that one of her primary goals is to motivate others. She does this by coaching others in a private setting, online, or with the Minnesota Distance Running Association.
As a motivational speaker Julie shares her inspirational story of how she has embraced life-changing habits to lead a healthy lifestyle. Julie truly believes that any person can change their mind to change their life one step at a time.
She has accepted speaking engagements with Minnesota Distance Running Association, Running Soles, Minneapolis Junior League, New Brighton Track Team, Northern Lights Running Association.
